The West Haven City Council election is a non-partisan race, but I've had many voters ask me about my political affiliation and principles. I'm proud to say that I'm a life-long conservative. That means I revere and protect individual liberties and property rights, and respect the proper (limited) role of government. Being a fiscal conservative means that I am a careful steward of public funds and resources, and strive to plan wisely for our future.

I'm honored to have a long history of service in local civic affairs, including as the West Haven 1st Precinct vice-chair and the secretary of Legislative District 12, which includes parts of West Haven, Roy, and Hooper. I've also served my neighbors in the West Haven 1st Precinct as their State and County delegate for several years.

I've been privileged to serve with many other dedicated Conservatives over the years, and am grateful for their kind words about my candidacy. If conservative values are important to you, please Vote Lacy for West Haven City Council!

“I don't give my endorsements out lightly, but Lacy has earned it. She is smart, dedicated, and most of all--she understands the proper role of government.” ~ Lynda Pipkin, former Chair of Weber County GOP

" I would ask that you consider supporting Lacy Richards for city council. She currently serves as the Leg District 12 Secretary, and has with enthusiasm performed those duties. Lacy is meticulous and careful. She is a conservative Republican that will work for smaller government, less taxes, private property rights, and more individual responsibility. Please vote Lacy Richards!" ~Brent Odenwalder, GOP Legislative District 12 Chair

"I am thrilled to see a well-grounded person like Lacy running for West Haven City Council! Lacy is reasonable, approachable, respectful and deserves your vote. She will bring good ideas and time tested leadership/management principles to whatever governing body she becomes a part of. She is a concerned citizen who shows up to meetings with keen interest and works well with others." ~ Bob McEntee, Weber County GOP Legislative Chair ; former USAF Major
