Lacy Richards, Your Voice on the West Haven City Council

Meet Lacy Richards...

Hi Everyone! Thanks for giving me the chance to introduce myself. I'm Lacy Richards, a fellow West Haven resident who loves our community and its people. I was born and raised right here in Weber County and am grateful to be raising my family in our wonderful community. In case we don't know each other well already, here's an introduction to who I am.

* I’m a daughter of parents who taught me the principles of hard work, service to my community, and always striving to be a doer instead of a critic.

* I’m a proud graduate of Weber County public schools and Brigham Young University.

* I’m a wife to a wonderful husband who is an Air Force veteran and a local small business owner.

* I’m a mother to five children who have taught me many lessons in love, patience, conflict resolution, and laundry folding (lots and lots of laundry folding!)

* I’m a nurse who has learned critical thinking and prioritization skills.

* I’m a life-long learner who is tenacious in seeking to gather and understand relevant information before making decisions.

* I’m an active volunteer in my community, including service to our local schools through the PTA, the PTO, Community Councils, Boundary Committees, and as a classroom volunteer. I've also served as an advisor to the West Haven Youth Council and as a volunteer with Scouting. I currently serve as a member of the Weber County RAMP board and as a local donation coordinator for Lifting Hands International. I love looking for opportunities to lift and bless those around me!

* I’m a friend and a neighbor who values collaboration and civility in finding synergistic solutions.

*I'm a descendant of forbearers who set an example of public service with integrity.

* I’m a patriot who is committed to honoring my oath to uphold the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Utah and to uphold the laws of the land.

*I'm committed to public service and pledge to keep Working Hard for West Haven every day.
